Grandweld Shipyards Honored by The Permanent Committee of Labour Affairs in Dubai

Grandweld Shipyards was honored by The Permanent Committee for Labour Affairs in Dubai, chaired by Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Deputy Director General of GDRFA-Dubai, for their commitment and implementation of HSE rules and regulations across their labour accommodations in Dubai.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai had instructed the Permanent Committee of Labour Affairs in Dubai to emphasize the importance of endorsing and committing to the HSE standards both by companies and workers at labour accommodations and in their workplace. The committee’s goal is to promote and ensure higher HSE standards across Dubai in order to guarantee that workers’ rights and interests are met.

Grandweld Success Story with Cotemar S.A. DE C.V. Mexico

Grandweld Shipyards has completed the delivery of the four units 42 meter Aluminum Crew Boats to Cotemar S.A. DE C.V. Mexico; the contract was signed in June 2013.

The 42M Aluminium Crew Boats are fitted with EPA Tier 3 compliant main engines and advanced navigation equipment. Designed to meet the client’s specific needs, the vessels can exceed a speed of 26 knots and benefit from luxury seating, VIP accommodation, a larger deck space and enhanced comfort for the crew. Each vessel can seat 100 offshore personnel, has a 100sqm loading area for over 90 tons of deck cargo, and can carry ample quantities of fuel and freshwater. The Four vessels will operate in the Gulf of Mexico and will comply with the US Environmental Protection Agency requirements and US Coast Guard regulations.

Stanford Marine Announces the New Delivery of its 75m Diesel Electric Platform Supply Vessel, Stanford Eagle.

The ‘Stanford Eagle’, a 75m diesel electric platform supply vessel (‘PSV’) built at the Fujian Mawei shipyard in Fuzhou, China is the sister vessel of Stanford Hawk that was delivered Q4 of 2013. The ‘Eagle’ and her sister, the ‘Stanford Hawk, who is now on charter in Angola, are modern closed bow designed PSV’s with DP2 and FiFi1 notation. The vessels have excellent storage capacities for fluid and products below deck and a usable deck area of 700m2, with spacious accommodation for a maximum of 52 persons onboard.

This latest new delivery and further deliveries of new build vessels in the pipeline enable Stanford Marine to maintain a young and versatile fleet mix which allows Stanford to service clients in shallow as well as deep water basins in current and new territories.

The rejuvenation and expansion in Stanford’s fleet is an ongoing process in keeping with the increased demand the company continues to experience, and facilitates the consolidation of the company as one of the leading players in the industry.

ADNOC & Khalid Faraaj 42 M Aluminum vessels win HSE Award

On the 27th of July 2014, 42 M Alumium crew boats project team for ADNOC and Khalid Faraaj has been awarded the HSE award. In recognition of maintaining safe working and environmental Practice, the evaluation had been done by Grandweld Shipyards Health Safety and environmental department. This Award is presented by the General Manager and the HSE Manager of Grandweld.

The monthly HSE project incentive program shall meet certain HSE criteria with supporting documented evidence to be successful in winning the award. The project must meet Zero Lost time Incidents, Zero accidents, submit 20 Safety observation cards as a minimum, emergency evacuation drill, daily HSE production meetings and a weekly HSE walk-around to close out corrective action.
