Ceremonial keel laying for two 42 M Fast Aluminum Crew Boats for Global Marine

Grandweld celebrated the Keel laying for additional two new 42.00 M Aluminum Crew Boats for Global Marine.The contract was signed in March 2014 by Mr. Shahram Nazemi, Global Marine Managing Director.The 42 M fast crew boats will be powered by 3high-speed diesel engines driving 3 fixed pitch propellers to produce a speed in excess of 26knots.The vessel features luxury crew seating capacity of 83 persons, and has 110 sqm loading area for over 90 Tons of deck cargo requirements. When completed in April 2015, the boats will be 42.00 meters in length, 7.30 metres in breadth & 3.50 metres in depth.Grandweld is pleased to receive repeat orders from Global Marine for these classes of vessels.

Wesal sign contracts for 42M Crew Boat

In March 2014, Wesal shipping and Grandweld signed another contract for 42M Aluminum Crew Boat. This vessel is equipped with high end navigational equipment and can reach speeds in excess of 25.5 knots with seating capacity of 83 persons. It has 104 sqm loading area for over 90 Tons of deck cargo. This project is another testimonial to Grandweld’s guarantee to consistent quality.

London Annual Offshore Support Journal Conference

The London Annual Offshore Support Journal Conference and Awards took place on February 19&20, 2013. Stanford was the sponsor of the internet corner at the conference.

Stanford Hawk Secures a 5 year Contract with Total E&P in Angola

Dubai, UAE, 3 February 2014: Stanford Marine, a leading regional offshore marine business, announced today from its Dubai headquarters that it has secured a 5 year contract with Total E&P Angola for Stanford Hawk, the latest addition to its fleet.

Total E&P Angola (“TEPA”) awarded Stanford Marine a 5 year contract, with two 2 year options, scheduled to commence by the beginning of February 2014. The Stanford Hawk will be supporting the process and storage activities of TEPA, by transporting personnel and cargo, as well as assisting in safety standby duties.

Stanford Marine’s GM, Darren Reeves, said ‘Having the Stanford Buzzard, an 87m PSV, in East Africa and now the Stanford Hawk in West Africa allows us to strengthen our presence on the continent and provides a platform to deploy more vessels in the region, if the right opportunity arises.’

Built by Fujian Mawei Shipyard in China, the 75 meter Stanford Hawk is a DP2 diesel electric Platform Supply Vessel (“PSV”) with a deadweight of 3300 ton, a FiFi 1 notation and spacious accommodation for a maximum compliment of 52 persons onboard. With an open deck area of 700m2 and the support of 5t crane, Stanford Hawk is capable of carrying approximately 1750 ton of cargo on deck. The vessel has under deck capacities of 1287m3 of fuel, 800m3 of fresh water, 1538m3 of water ballast, 497m3 of brine and 230m3 dry bulk tanks.

Propulsion comes from four Cummins generators each rated at 1800kw, delivering a maximum speed of 14 knots. Installed with DP state-of-the-art Kongsberg K-Master, the vessel has the following reference systems: 3 x Gyro compass, 2 x DGPS, 1 x Cyscan, 1 x radius, 3 x wind sensors and 3 x VRUs.

The vessel sailed to Angola after a two week stay in Dubai, where contract specific modifications were completed. These included special removable boat landing and floating hoses.

OSV Conferences by IBC

Stanford Marine managed to attend, participate, and sponsor OSV conferences organized by IBC not only in Singapore and Africa but also in the Middle East and China.

As they are very successful conferences that merge visitors and clients from different areas of the globe we see that it is very essential that we participate and be present in the locations that are of our area of scope.

OSV Middle East took place in Dubai from Oct 2nd – 3rd, and OSV China took place in Beijing from Dec 2nd – 3rd. Stanford Marine’s GM, Darren Reeves, presented successful presentations at both conferences.

His presentation titled ‘Successfully Competing in the Global Marketplace’ covered different aspects like: Going global: Understanding the competitive landscape, how to secure more business internationally, investing in the right locations and operating in high growth regions, and achieving high fleet utilization rates.

Grandweld Wins Order from ADNOC to Build Two Dive Maintenance Support Vessels

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, December 24, 2013;

Grandweld Shipyards, the Middle East’s largest shipbuilder, has announced the signing of a contract worth over USD $40 million to build and deliver two Dive Maintenance Support Vessels for ADNOC. The contract was signed on December 19th, 2013. This order follows the successful delivery of DMSV “ARADAH”, a 55 metre Dive Maintenance Support Vessel delivered in 2012.

The 50 metre Dive Maintenance Support vessels will be utilized to serve dive and maintenance operations in Abu Dhabi offshore fields. In order to support offshore diving operation, the vessels will be equipped with self-contained integrated diving systems complete with decompression chambers. The new vessels, designed for 60 Tons Bollard pull using azimuthing stern thrusters, will be able to maintain position in rough sea conditions using dynamic position system (DP2) and 3 point mooring, for the first and second vessel respectively.

In addition, in order to support maintenance operations, the vessels will be equipped with anchor handling equipment and subsea lifting crane of 35 Ton @ 7.5m capacity for handling gravity Anchors, Mooring Buoys and SBM hoses.

Moreover, the vessels will equipped with external fire fighting capability to class 1. The vessels are expected to be delivered by fourth quarter of 2015.

Grandweld Shipyards Delivers First AHTS to Halul Offshore

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, December 16, 2013;

Grandweld Shipyards, the Middle East’s largest shipbuilder, is pleased to announce that Halul Offshore Services Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Milaha -Qatar, took delivery of its first Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessel (AHTS) Halul 63.

The contract was signed in July 2011 to build two AHTS sister vessels, which will be utilized to support offshore operations in the GCC region. The 67 metre length Halul 63 is a high-end AHTS with a capacity of 100 Ton Bollard Pull, and Dynamic Positioning capability (DP2). The vessel can accommodate 50 personnel, and is completely outfitted and equipped for anchor handling, offshore supply, oil recovery, rescue, standby and other related duties.

The vessel is powered by two 2720KW MAN Engines, and is fitted with two controllable pitch propellers, two stern thrusters, and two bow thrusters. The second vessel is scheduled for delivery in the end of March 2014.
