On July 2014, Grandweld Shipyards successfully delivered the Two 42 M Aluminium Crew Boats to Cotemar S.A. DE C.V. Mexico. The 42M Aluminium Crew Boat is a world-class reputation fitted with EPA Tier 3 compliant main engines and advanced navigation equipment. Designed to meet the client’s specific needs, the vessels can exceed 26 knots and benefit from luxury seating, VIP accommodation, a larger deck space and enhanced comfort for the crew. This crew boat can seat 100 offshore personnel and have a 100sqm loading area for over 90 tons of deck cargo. Also can carry a large amount of fuel and freshwater. This vessel will operate in the Gulf of Mexico and will comply with US Environmental Protection Agency requirements and US Coast Guard regulations. ADNOC & Khalid Faraaj 42 M Aluminum vessels win HSE Award

On the 27th of July 2014, 42 M Alumium crew boats project team for ADNOC and Khalid Faraaj has been awarded the HSE award. In recognition of maintaining safe working and environmental Practice, the evaluation had been done by Grandweld Shipyards Health Safety and environmental department. This Award is presented by the General Manager and the HSE Manager of Grandweld.

The monthly HSE project incentive program shall meet certain HSE criteria with supporting documented evidence to be successful in winning the award. The project must meet Zero Lost time Incidents, Zero accidents, submit 20 Safety observation cards as a minimum, emergency evacuation drill, daily HSE production meetings and a weekly HSE walk-around to close out corrective action.

Stanford Bateleur Secures a Long Term Charter in Mexico

Dubai, UAE, 20 July 2014: Stanford Marine, a leading regional offshore marine business, announced today from its Dubai headquarters that it has secured a 3 year contract for one of its 87m Platform Supply Vessels, Stanford Bateleur, in Mexico.

Stanford Bateleur was awarded a long term contract with Mexiship in Mexico.

Before commencing her long term charter in Mexico, Stanford Bateleur will be in Dubai to undergo some project specific modifications. The Bateleur has been working on charter in Malaysia with Haliburton and in Qatar with Maersk Oil, since her delivery in early 2013.

Pemex, the end user, will operate the vessel as an “Injector Vessel” out of the port of Dos Bocas, in the state of Tabasco. The Bateleur will join her smaller sister vessel, the 58m DP1 Stanford Goshawk, which has been working out of the neighboring port of Cd. Del Carmenin Campeche for the last 12 months.

Stanford’s GM, Darren Reeves said, “We are delighted to secure this long term contract for the Bateleur. This represents a significant upping of the stakes in our operations in Mexico and moves us in a direction we are keen to continue. Mexiship will be a solid partner for us and provide assistance with local logistical support; we look forward to working with them. “

Built by Fujian Mawei Shipyard in China, the 87 meter Stanford Bateleur is a DP2 diesel electric Platform Supply Vessel (“PSV”) with a deadweight of 5145 ton, a FiFi 1 notation, open deck area of 1000m2 and spacious accommodation for a maximum compliment of 52 persons onboard.

Stanford Marine Announces the New Delivery of its Custom Built 50m Anchor Handling Tug

Dubai, UAE, 30 June 2014: Stanford Marine, a leading regional offshore marine business, announced today from its Dubai headquarters the delivery of the latest addition to its fleet.

‘Stanford Mustang’, a 50m DP2 Anchor Handling Tug was specially designed to handle a specific charter in Qatar and was built at Fujian Mawei shipyard in Fuzhou, China. ‘Stanford Mustang’ has a special low air draft to facilitate her ability to transit beneath the low bridges encountered at offshore facilities and has a Bollard Pull in excess of 60T, which makes her a valuable addition to the Stanford fleet.

‘Stanford Mustang’ is now on her way to Dubai, U.A.E. and will then head to Qatar to commence her employment on a 5 year contract awarded by a leading regional oil company in 2012. While ‘Stanford Mustang’ was being built, ‘Stanford Pride’ was utilized as a front runner for this charter after it was completely rebuilt and upgraded to DP1.

Stanford Marine’s General Manager, Darren Reeves, stated, “We look forward to welcoming Stanford Mustang to our fleet and we have great confidence that she will seamlessly slot into our Qatar operations. More 42 M Crew Boats for Global Marine

Grandweld Shipyards has been awarded a contract to build and deliver two more 42m Crew Boats for the repeat client Global Marine, Dubai. Grandweld has already established a solid reputation as the leading shipbuilder of high speed, lightweight aluminium crew boats in the offshore industry. The vessel is designed to reach a speed in excess of 25 knots, and features crew seating capacity of 69 persons, and 104 sqm loading area for over 85 Tonnes of deck cargo. The vessel will be additionally equipped with high end Navigational equipment according to the customer requirements. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in 2015.

Halul 62 the sister vessel of Halul 63 delivered to Halul Offshore, Qatar

Halul 62 67M AHTS is fully equipped for anchor handling, offshore supply, towing, oil recovery, rescue, standby and other related duties. The vessel is classed for unrestricted service, and is equipped with Dynamic Positioning capability of DP2. She is powered by two 2720KW MAN Engines, and is fitted with two controllable pitch propellers, two stern thrusters, and two bow thrusters. This vessel was designed and built at Grandweld Shipyards according to DNV classification rules and specialized requirements of Halul offshore for steel vessels.

”BARAG” on time for Liwa Marine Services

On April 2014 Grandweld delivered the 33.5M aluminum crew boat to Liwa Marine Services. This in house designed vessel is powered by three high-speed diesel engines driving three fixed-pitch propellers to reach speeds in excess of 25 knots. The vessel can seat 60 passengers and certified for unrestricted navigation offshore oil and gas operations. In Addition this crew boat has 90 sqm of deck cargo area and has full Class certified propulsion machinery and enhanced comfort for the crew.
