At Stanford Marine and Grandweld Shipyards, health, safety, quality and environmental performance are integral to every operation we undertake. We safeguard the health and wellbeing of our workforce, and plan the execution of every task to protect people and assets. We deliver vessels, repairs and services to the standards our clients expect, while working to prevent pollution and reduce emissions across our fleet and shipyard. This is underpinned by robust management systems, visible leadership and a culture in which everyone is empowered to intervene when safety is at risk.

Our integrated HSEQ management systems covers vessel operations, shipbuilding, repair and marine engineering. Risks are systematically identified and controlled before work begins, performance is monitored against clear objectives, and lessons learned from audits, incidents and near-misses are used to continually strengthen our operations.

Environmental

Protecting the environment through responsible operations

We are committed to minimising the environmental footprint of our fleet and shipyard through robust emissions monitoring, improved operational efficiency and targeted innovation.

Key initiatives

Monitoring and reporting Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions to establish a robust baseline and track reduction progress.
Implementing SEEMP Part II on a voluntary basis to strengthen energy-efficiency management and emissions reporting across the fleet.
Operating comprehensive waste management, recycling and spill prevention programmes across our vessels and shore facilities.
Piloting new technologies and operational practices that improve vessel energy efficiency, supported by real-time performance data.

We support the Rashid Centre for People of Determination and the Al Noor Rehabilitation & Welfare Association in delivering care, education and rehabilitation services.
